We all yearn for a personal relationship with Christ. In order to become a mature Christian, we also need to leave our comfort zone and that is to find a group in our local church community. We can’t grow as a mature Christian without being guided by a truthful and honest believer of Christ. We need someone that we can trust, (Proverbs 17:17 “A friend is always loyal, and a brother is born to help in time of need.”, someone that we can rely and depend on, (Galatians 6:2 Carry one another’s burdens; in this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ.”).
Church Community is God’s desire for us. The Scripture is all about living in the community. The Bible tells us to spend time and bear with one another in the community. No matter what stage of life you are in, you always have something to share or learn from others. We are called to love one another, encourage each other and build each other up. (In Hebrews 10:24-25 NLT “Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near”).
God didn’t intend for us to live life alone! (Acts: 46-47 “Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved” 1 Corinthians 12:25-27 NLT “So that there would be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. So if one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it”).
